Quake strikes off Indonesian coast
JAKARTA, Indonesia (CNN) -- A 7.0-magnitude quake struck off the western coast of Indonesia's Sumatra Island on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
No tsunami warning was immediately issued.
The quake was recorded in the Kepulauan Mentawai region, a chain of islands popular with surfers.
